Description
High Impact Resistance
Spectrum HIPS-X is one of the support consumables for FDM/FFF additive manufacturing. It is usually used as support for parts made from ABS, where the support from HIPS-X dissolves with D-Limonene after the manufacturing process. In addition, Spectrum HIPS-X can be used as a base material for the production of parts with reduced shrinkage during processing. This is a material with high impact strength and compressive strength. In addition, it allows for the creation of matte surfaces with reduced layer visibility. Like ABS, HIPS-X can be processed by sanding, turning, and milling. The HIPS-X spectrum is a material primarily used as a support material, but it is also used in industrial applications where parts are required to be impact-resistant and also capable of partially dissipating energy. The low hardness of HIPS-X material allows its use in art, specifically in sculpture.
