VERBATIM BD-R (10-pack)/Dual Layer/spindle/6X/50GB

The rapid development of high-definition televisions (HDTV) led to the emergence of Blu-ray technology as a means of meeting the demand for discs with large storage capacity.Blu-ray discs got their name from the technology using a blue laser.

The reason the laser is blue is its shorter wavelength.

The wavelength of the blue laser is 405 nm, unlike the wavelength of the red laser, which is 650 nm and is used for writing to DVD discs.

The advantage of the blue laser with its shorter wavelength means that it is possible to write smaller data spirals, thereby increasing the amount of data on the disc.Blu-ray discs provide 3 to 5 times greater storage capacity than recordable DVD discs and enable recording, rewriting, and playback of high-definition (HD) video. For use in players that support 25 GB/50 GB Blu-ray discs without a cartridge. This 50 GB single-sided disc complies with the specifications of the Blu-ray Disc Alliance.Laser wavelength: 405 nm,Hard Coat protective layer, very long lifespan, excellent playback performance. The BD-R disc can be used in BD drives and recorders.Non-printable discs can be labeled with a CD/DVD marker.
